"Sneaky" Pete Kleinow (1935-2007)

I don't intend to have this blog report solely on musician deaths, but most of the music news lately has been of that nature....
Founding member of the Flying Burrito Brothers, steel guitarist "Sneaky" Pete Kleinow has passed away at the age of 72.
The sound he created with Gram Parsons started the Country Rock movement, which would pave the way for the Eagles, and heavily influence bands like Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown as well as most of the other bands in the "Alt. Country" movement.
The Flying Burrito Brothers are one of the best bands ever, and if you are not familiar with them, I highly recommend you pick up some of their music asap.
His memorial service will be held at Joshua Tree, where Gram Parsons passed away.
