Last week, another awesome concert. Late to posting this due to eye surgery...
Dan Wilson, lead singer of Semisonic opened with an acoustic set. It was excellent.
He is one of the best pop songwriters around. Check out the lyrics to the Dixie Chicks "Not Ready to Make Nice" and you will see what I mean.
Interesting Fact: during the show Dan claimed that "Closing Time" was about the birth of his child. He stopped after each line of the song to analyze it.
Kathleen Edwards was nothing short of fantastic. Her band kicks so much ass, and she rocks. Great songs, great voice. One of the best voices out there, and I will go on record as saying she is the best female singer songwriter I have ever seen in concert.
